ST. PETERSBURG HOSTS THE LARGEST GAY PRIDE PARADE IN FLORIDA THIS WEEKEND…
ST. PETERSBURG HOSTS THE LARGEST GAY PRIDE PARADE IN FLORIDA THIS WEEKEND…One source has indicated that over two hundred and fifty thousand people will participate over this three-day span of time with over the top floats, lavish costumes, live performances, and a fireworks display, along St. Pete’s beautiful downtown waterfront. Many of our own residents are excited and look forward to this weekend like many would say, July 4th weekend. And numerous guests will travel far and wide to participate. I can only hope that those who participate in this weekend’s gay pride events might include worshipping with Fifth Avenue Baptist Church on Sunday, June 23rd, at 10:30am, as a part of their Sunday activities. We will be observing the Lord’s Supper. Communion is for anyone who has admitted their sin and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation. So, here’s what you need to know:
> I am the Pastor. I do not hate you!
> Everyone attending worship services are sinners—you are not an exception.
> Southern Baptist do not hate you! All families have that “weird Uncle.”
> I think you will enjoy the music and sweet fellowship of our people.
> We have several ethnicities represented in our church. God likes diversity!
> As far as I know, 5th Avenue Baptist has never been accused of being “Gay Bashers.”
> You may be surprised.
> We do not allow any group to disrupt our services (I.e. Republicans, KKK, etc.)
> You may leave never being the same as when you walked in…
Until Next Time...
