IT’S JULY AND I HAVE NOT HAD HOMEMADE ICE CREAM ONE TIME!

IT’S JULY AND I HAVE NOT HAD HOMEMADE ICE CREAM ONE TIME! It’s not because I am on a strict diet. It is not because my wife hadn’t asked me about it. (As you may recall, last year I started making it as a hobby and giving some away. No, not all, Kellie made me keep some.) It’s not because I hadn’t craved some homemade ice cream. Folks, I’m not exactly sure why I haven’t made any, yet. I think it’s because it just doesn’t seem like summer. No, not because it’s not hot as a firecracker and fireworks didn’t go off recently. It’s just an odd summer. Don’t you think? I mean, it seems we’re all doing our best to adjust. Vacation Bible School is going to happen July 20-24, but it will be virtual. So, what are we supposed to do with this unusual summer and pandemic, non-pandemic, wear a mask, don’t wear a mask time?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
THAT’S ALL I KNOW TO TELL YOU AND IT’S ENOUGH BECAUSE HE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. Keep trusting HIM, my friend. I know one day may seem fine and the next not-so-much but take one day at a time focusing on His sovereign will. Be encouraged today. One day you and I will look back at this time in history with a better understanding of how God used it than perhaps we do right now. But if not… HE really is more than enough! And BTW, a little homemade ice cream at some point is fine, too. God bless you. I love you.
Until Next Time...
