HOW TO PREPARE FOR EASTER

Updated: May 4

Easter this year will be different than last year. Not because of the reason we celebrate. The reason it will be different is that last year we were quarantined. Our worship service was livestreamed, and our family event was canceled. This year, we are having our family event Saturday, April 3 and our worship service live on Sunday, April 4. Praise the Lord for His ongoing faithfulness!

So, how can we prepare for EASTER 2021?

1. Pray. Pray that God will work in all our lives to bring glory to His name. Pray for your leadership. Pray for our city and that many will be our special guests that weekend.

2. Invite. Use the new invite cards to invite people to join us Easter Sunday for worship at 10:30am. Many people are waiting for an invite to attend church—especially on Easter Sunday. You may even want to invite someone to join you for lunch afterward.

3. Come early. If you are a member, come early. Be a positive presence. Greet people in the parking lot as they come. Share encouraging words as those around you are seated.

4. Do not miss the moment. Church, this Easter is unlike any other. Think about it… That’s right, there are multiple reasons we need to be intentional. Be intentional about all of the above suggestions and do not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to be a catalyst for life change.

Yes, these are just a few suggestions as we approach EASTER weekend 2021. I can’t wait! Please don’t hesitate to demonstrate your anticipation for what God will do in our midst.

When Thomas doubted, Jesus showed him his scars. Then, Jesus told him, You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me. ~John 20:29 That’s you. That’s me.
